Since I walk my dog Penny every evening by  the Carver home,  I had the great pleasure of having many conversations with Randy. We spoke often about what a privilege it is to live in sunny California on Cormorant Ln. We laughed about our neighbors, family, finances, and shared our respective interpretations of the meaning of life.  I feel so lucky to have known Randy and will always remember being in a happier state of mind  after chatting with him. My sincere sympathy to Susan and his entire family.

There are no words to describe what an amazing human Randy was. Even though circumstances separated us for an unfortunate amount of time, I will always remember Randy as the loving, loyal, fun, reliable and supportive uncle that he was to my daughter and the brother-in-law that he was to me. He truly did complete our family. Randy had the best sense of humor and we shared so many special times together. I will forever treasure the endless amount of memories and stories that I am grateful I have to remember him.  I am honored to have known him and feel blessed to say that he was once part of my life.

It was a total shock upon hearing of Randy's passing. I was a  vendor at Kovach Marketing (Nu Coast Graphics) and Randy was one of the best that I ever had the pleasure of working with and for at the time. He was always upbeat, funny and professional. My sincere condolences to the Carver family upon the loss of a wonderful guy.

Dear Randy & Family,

Randy was one of the first neighbors to welcome me warmly, saying, “You picked a good street to live on; we call our street Happy Lane.” It was during the uncertain times of October 2020, in the midst of COVID, that we met, and he instantly stood out with the kindness and smile he always carried.

I will deeply miss seeing Randy around, his sense of humor on Facebook, and his unwavering dedication to making our neighborhood magical during Halloween and Christmas. He poured so much love into everything he did—whether it was his family, his home, or his community.

He often spoke with pride and affection about his family. He adored his wife and sons, frequently reminding me, “They grow up fast.” I could see how much joy it brought him to visit his boys in college and share those moments of pride. His Facebook posts—full of love, laughter, and beautiful memories with his wife—showed a man who cherished life and the people in it.

When Randy and Susan decided to adopt foster kittens, Randy was so generous with allowing Blake and Brooklyn to come over visit and pet the kittens. 

Randy’s presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit will always remain a part of Happy Lane and all who had the privilege of knowing him. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.
