He leaves behind his son, Manuel Garcia and his daughter, Carolyn Calles, as well as many relatives and friends.
Born and raised in Mexico, he began his lifelong career in engineering as a young man, moving to Chicago in his 20s to further his education. It was not long before he was working for some of the most important companies in his field, finally ending at Cole Instrument Corp., a small, struggling company in need of an innovative leader. He grew that small company into a multi-million dollar business, putting all of his drive, determination, and engineering skill into making it the success it is, today.
Mr. Garcia had a tremendous impact on thousands; industry professionals, hard-working employees, devoted friends, and most importantly, beloved family. His influence will continue on in his business and in the lives and hearts of those who knew him.
A funeral service will be held March 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm, with private interment.
