

as "Sam", announce his passing on January 18 th, 2018 at the age of 93.
Sam was born in East Boston and attended English High, the oldest high school in the United States.
He also attended North Eastern University. He served bravely during the D Day invasion at Normandy in WWII with the Army's Combat Engineers. After the war, he married his childhood sweetheart, Josephine. They were married for 70 years and had three children, Ken, Elisa, and Tom, with seven grandchildren and one newly arrived great granddaughter.
Sam worked for Polaroid Corporation and was transferred to the West Coast to run Polaroid Copy Service in 1966. He was a great plant manager, respected and loved by all. When he retired, he filled his time with his love of golf, playing with his son, Ken every Thursday. He also loved working on his sports cars.
A devoted husband, Sam cared for Josephine until her passing in May 2017. He was a mentor to his children and grandchildren, teaching them patience and understanding. His generousity was boundless, teaching life skills and the importance of family, " La familia". It gives us joy to know Sam and Josephine are dancing together again in heaven. We celebrate their lives.
