Steve was born In Oakland, CA on August 24, 1950. He received his bachelors degree from UC Santa Barbara, and his MBA from Santa Clara University. Steve was a CPA and started his own firm over 35 years ago. He acquired many credentials and published several books, becoming well respected in the field of forensic accounting. Steve spent countless hours raising money for charities close to his heart.
Steve's main purpose in life was taking care of those he loved. This started at the young age of 14 when his father became ill, and continued throughout his life. He loved sports and enjoyed swimming, running, tennis, skiing and competing in triathlons.
Steve was a devoted husband and father who will be forever loved and deeply missed by Sheila, his best friend and wife of 37 years, his three adoring children, Andrea (Tyler Kent), Olya, and Eric, along with several nieces and nephews, and many beloved friends. He was predeceased by his parents Commander Blase and Stephanie Zamucen, and sisters Janet and Susie.
A Mass will be celebrated in memory of Steve on October 4, at 11:00 AM (preceded by a rosary service at 10:30), at Our Lady Queen Of Angels, 2100 Mar Vista Dr, Newport Beach, CA 92660. A celebration of his life will follow at the Balboa Bay Resort, 1221 W Coast Hwy. Newport Beach.
