

In 1955, his family moved to Virginia where he and his siblings could hike and explore the rural surroundings. Bill and his brother Jim were members of the Boy Scouts and a part of the local rocket club. In 1960, the family moved to California, where he spent the rest of his life.
Bill was a High School Track Star and set new school records in cross country and was an outstanding long-distance runner. He also climbed Mt Whitney in a thunderstorm. He successfully completed High School in 1966.
Ater High School Bill attended Pierce College and worked a few jobs and finally in 1969 with the draft lottery ended up in the Army. He spent a good part of his service in Vietnam.
Bill met and married Tulla Pagulogo a Feisty Greek Women who showed him how to love life. To be a part of a big family and to make his Orthodox Faith his leading light. When Bill married Tulla at the time, she was a widower and had been married to successful Cardiologist with two practices when he passed away at 42. Tulla was left to raise three boys. When Bill and Tulla met, Tulla was 20 years his senior and his love for her saw no age difference and he loved her to her very last breath. He took on the role of the boys’ stepfather and lived by his "word" to always love and guide them. He was a man of integrity and lived by his promise to Tulla. When Tulla died in 2004, he was devasted.
Bill was a highly intelligent man and loved Finance he found his way into the world of Wealth and Finance Management and became a wizard with stocks and bonds. His last and final years he joined Morgan Stanley. Bill loved his career there; he found his self-expression as a Wealth Manager and held great respect and admiration for his colleagues.
Five years after Tulla’s Death, Bill met his second wife. He enjoyed having a companion and traveling with her. In April of 2023, Deb passed away and Bill buried her in this very park, for which he is being laid to rest in. And so, the story goes, Bill was Twice widowed and was faithful to the end. He honored his "Word"…as himself and That’s just who he was.
Bill continued his passion for running well into his middle age. He ran several marathons including The Long Beach marathon, The New York marathon and at least two others in Los Angeles.
Bill loved anything that placed him in nature, whether it was running, mountain climbing, cycling, tennis, golf and so on. He just loved playing outdoors along with a great physical challenge to be the best he could be at something. He will also be known for being a person “Who never gave up”.
Bill always had a smile on his face. The only time he didn’t smile was when he was interacting with someone or something that wasn’t authentic and real. Bill was an authentic human being. He was a person who said what he meant and meant what he said, or he just didn’t say it. He had a very funny cynical side to him. He was known for his one- liners, for which we cannot repeat here!! He loved great food and wine. He loved traveling to Greece and more than anything loved The Greek Church and donated on a regular basis.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, September 7, 2025, in the Legacy Chapel of Pacific Mortuary, 3500 Pacific View Drive in Corona Del Mar, CA.
Immediately following, a committal service will take place in Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive in Corona Del Mar, CA.
