He was raised in the Rio Grande Valley. He was a 1st class Lineman with Magic Valley Electric Co. Op. and after an accident in 1996 he retired.
Acyes was a very amiable man and he never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, 2 brothers, sister, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara Hughes; 4 children, Michael, Sharon Kim, Mark and Scott; his adopted daughter, Martha Jean; granddaughter, Felicia; two step- granddaughters; brother, Hank; sister, Barbara; he is also survived by 2 sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 3, 2012, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
