Throughout her life Aida spent much quality time with her sister, Sylvia. They were an extremely close pair and spent many days playing bingo together along with Ramiro, Sylvia’s companion Whenever they weren’t playing bingo they would make sure to call each other every night.
Aida is preceded in death by her parents, Cecilio and Refugia Trevino Marin and husband, J. Sotero Rangel Sr.
Survivors include her sister, Sylvia Gutierrez (Ramiro); 5 children, Elda Garcia (Javier), Rosaelia Trevino (Rudy), Maria Roberson, Juan S. Rangel Jr. (Annette) and Joe Richard Rangel (Luz Medina); her favorite niece, Sandy Miranda; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Father Jose Salazar (Holy Family), who was always there for Juan and Aida; Juan S. Rangel III (Juanito) for his guidance and support throughout our difficult times; April Skyy Home Health and Transcend Hospice Care and special thanks to her Nurse, Jenny Arriaga who showed so much empathy for Aida.
Joe Rangel would like to acknowledge one special and amazing person not of Aida's blood, not for money or anything t of value. Luz Medina, her friend of 40 years, came to mine and my mother's rescue, offering to help me with my mom. Being there in the morning to get her out of bed, clean her and get her dressed, make her breakfast and her favorite food (oatmeal). Always making sure my mom took her meds, and at night to put her to bed, making sure Aida was tucked in tight. Luz was my mom's guardian angel, always calling her Mrs. Rangel and never by her first name out of respect. Thank you Luz, and may God Bless you always.
Pallbearers will be Juanito Rangel, Joe R. Rangel Jr., Jordan R. Rangel,
Mando Gutierrez, Albert Gutierrez and Albert Garcia.
