Albert Leal Jr., 50, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away March 5, 2018. He was born in Corpus Christi on December 6, 1967. Albert graduated from W. B. Ray High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from St. Leo University. He was married to Anna Maria “Mary Ann” Leal on October 25, 1994. Albert had a career in Law Enforcement for the Corpus Christi Police Department for almost 30 years. He served on the board of directors and was a member of the Corpus Christi Police Officers Association. He had a passion for Body Building, Boxing and Volunteering at Church. Albert was a 6 time Regional and 2 time State Golden Gloves Champion and a 2 time Toughman Champion.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Leal, father-in-law, Juan S. Torres and grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Anna Maria “Mary Ann” Leal; children, Albert (Kaitlyn)Leal III and Audrie Anne Leal; father, Albert Leal Sr., sister, Judy (Mario) Olivares, brother, David (Marissa) Leal, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will be private.
