Alma Gloria Contreras

Born on August 23, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Bauldelia S. Rivera, Alma carried the spirit of her hometown with her throughout her life—full of vibrance and a deep-rooted love for her family.

Alma was a pillar of strength for those she loved. As a widow to her beloved significant other, Willie Beasley, she navigated life’s challenges with a quiet grace that inspired everyone around her. Her life was defined by the deep bonds she shared with her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest pride and joy.

A Legacy of Love

Alma’s memory will be forever cherished by her two children and two grandchildren, who carry forward her kindness and her strength:

* Willie Lee Andy Beasley - son

*Johnathan Contreras - grandson

*Tobias Chevalier - grandson

She was a mother who gave everything to her family, ensuring they felt supported and loved through every season of life. Her presence was a constant comfort, and her home was always filled with the spirit of togetherness.

Reunited in Peace

Alma now joins those who went before her, finding peace in the arms of the loved ones she missed so dearly. She was preceded in death by:

* Her mother, Baudelia Rivera

* Her beloved brother's, Ramiro Rivera and Pablo Rivera, and sister's Amelia Contreras, Cruz Casares, Delores Deleon, and Anavi Rivera

* Her significant other, Willie Beasley

* Her daughter, Murlean Beasley

*Her grandson, Zene Chevalier

While our hearts are heavy with her passing, we find solace in knowing she is no longer in pain and is reunited with her family in eternal rest. Alma Gloria Contreras was a woman of profound character, and though she has left this world, the light she brought into it will never truly fade and neither will her love for her alma mater. Services for Alma will be held at Funeraria del Angel (Cheyenne St). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you hold your loved ones a little closer today and then have a great cup of coffee. In honor of Alma’s lifelong devotion to those she held dear.
