Born on the second day of May, nineteen hundred and thirty four, a bouncing little baby girl was born into life to the proud parents Joseph Youngblood and Eddie L. (Moore) Youngblood. This took place in Goliad, Texas. Her older sister, Joe Ella, named her Anner Lee Youngblood. Anner answered her master’s call on May 31, 2021.
Anner accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized in 1944 by the late Rev. L.M. Carroll Pastor of Minnehulla Baptist Church in Goliad, Texas.
Anner attended public school in Goliad, Texas where she graduated as Valedictorian from her class as well as top player in softball and basketball. She received her Diploma of Bible Study from Faith for Today Bible Course in Thousand Oaks, California on December 9, 1977.
Anner united in Holy Matrimony to Henry W. Howard, a sailor she met in Kingsville, Texas while visiting her aunt. They married April 27, 1954. They remained a loving couple until God called her dear Henry home. They spent over 50 loving years together.
Upon moving to Corpus Christi, Texas, Anner united with Westhaven Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. O.L. Terrell. Later, she united with Calvary First Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Dr. H.C. Dilworth. She faithfully served under the leadership of Bishop G.E. Richardson Sr. Upon returning back to her home, she united with Union Baptist Church where her nephew A. Franklin was a pastor. She attended all of the churches in her surrounding area.
As a Sunday School Teacher for Women’s Class 7, teacher for Minister and Deacons wives, Resolution writer, Mission Department, and many other capacities of the church, Anner loved visiting the sick.
