

Antonia married the love of her life, Manuel J. Cavazos, Sr. on February 21, 1950. Together in love, they began life in Corpus Christi, Texas. Antonia and Manuel were blessed with a beautiful family, whom she cherished. Antonia, or 'Momo' as she was lovingly known as, enjoyed taking care of her family. She was often found in the kitchen preparing wonderful meals for the family, she always offered a meal and a smile. There was always coffee and conversation at the dining room table. She was hard working in her home and enjoyed the company of others. When Momo was not tending to her family, she was often found outside in her garden. Momo was a beautiful woman of honesty and integrity. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her husband Manuel J. Cavazos, Sr. and two sisters.
Our Momo is survived by her daughters: Connie (Alex) Sanchez, Mary (Frank) Shoffield, Blanche (Jose) Perez, Lucy Medina, and Rosie (Ted) Gonzalez, and only son, Manuel (Grace) Cavazos, Jr.; 14 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren all of Corpus Christi, Texas. She is also survived by one sister Conception Chavez.
Her loving caring spirit will live on in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You are forever in our hearts, Momo.
Pallbearers will be Joey Perez, Manuel Cavazos III, Michael Shoffield, Andrew Villarreal, Ted Gonzalez IV and Alex Longoria III. Honorary pallbearer will be Alex Longoria, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011, with a Rosary to be recited that evening at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Chapel, 549 Cheyenne Street. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Rose Hill Cemetery.
