Antonio Fernandez

Antonio was a God fearing man who loved his family and church. He enjoyed fishing and was a hardworking husband, father, and grandfather and will be remembered for his strength and love.

He worked for Sherwin Williams, owned Fernandez Flooring and worked for Corpus Christi Independent School District for 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Estefana Arenal Fernandez; sister, Olga Sermons; brother in law, Antonio Gonzalez; and a nephew, Marty Gonzalez.

Antonio is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Rachel Fernandez; children, Antonio Fernandez Jr. (Senona), Sandra Ayala (Mark), Robert Anthony Fernandez (Deirdre), Lupita Garcia (Paul Michael); grandchildren, Nicholas Fernandez, Cody Pratt, Olivia Pratt, Marissa Garcia, Brandon Garcia, Isabella Garcia, Matthew Ayala; sister, Sylvia Gonzalez; nephew, Jerry Gonzalez; nieces, Letty Sermons and Cynthia Ledesma.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:30 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
