

Surrounded by my loving children whom will miss and cherish me dearly the Lord has called my name he has opened the wide gates of heaven for me Arturo C. Rodriguez, on April 11, 2013 at the age of 84, as he carries me in his arms into the Eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Arturo was born on July 25, 1928 in Niwot, Colorado to Agustin and Dolores C. Rodriguez.
He worked for Goldston Contruction for 7 years. He was a retired welder/inspector for Berry Construction Inc. also known as A.C. in Corpus Christi. And later he established his own Remodeling Construction Business “A.C.R. Contracting”.
Arturo was married for 52 years to his late wife Cruz G. Rodriguez.
He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Arturo is preceded in death by his late wife, Cruz G. Rodriguez, his parents, Agustin and Dolores C. Rodriguez, his brother, Hilberto Rodriguez of Bishop, Texas and his sister Virginia Gonzales of Corpus Christi, TX; two daughters, Josie Sanchez Larson and Janie R. Garza both of Alice, TX, and his son-in-law, Jimmy A. Gonzalez Sr. of Corpus Christi, TX.
He is survived by his sons; San Martin Arturo Rodriguez, Jr., (Clara), Lee David and Agustin Rodriguez all of Corpus Christi, TX, his daughter; Eva R. Gonzalez, (Late Jimmy), Mary Lou R. Mendez (Frank), Ruby Zuniga (Joe) all of Corpus Christi, TX; grandson, John Jacob Rodriguez “AKA” (Jake), and 24 other grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Reymundo Rodriguez and three sisters; Lola Zamora of Kingsville, TX, Guadalupe Reyes of Corpus Christi, TX, and Mary Lou Gonzales of Fort Worth, TX.
Daddy, we will miss playing Loteria with you, going for a drive down Ocean Dr. and having Whataburger parked by the bayfront, going to Wal-Mart to the Mall and just listening to your Spanish Movies. Thank you, for the time we shared together I love you Daddy, and yes I’m (sure) your daughters Eva and Mary Lou.
Arturo, thank you for being my Traveling co-pilot riding with me to Victoria, Edna and Port Lavaca while I worked (we worked)… I’m going to miss you telling me that I run around so much like a Jack Rabbit. I will miss you dearly I love you Arturo, Your daughter Ruby.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
