Arturo G. Saucedo

Arturo G. Saucedo, age 77, joined our Heavenly Father on January 15, 2016, with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 20, 1938, in Cd. Anahuac, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Gilberto Saucedo and Julia Garcia-Saucedo. He graduated from the University of Monterrey, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He moved to Tulia, Texas where he met and married the love of his life Bertha, after starting a family, then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to start a new life.

Arturo was a very dedicated and hard worker, managing his business of 33 years - “Saucedo’s Texaco Service Station”. He was an active member of El Buen Pastor Methodist Church, in Corpus Christi, Texas. When he retired, he spent most of his time with his grandchildren, sharing his knowledge of ranching, love of the outdoors. An avid baseball fan, attending multiple Houston Astros games with his wife, sons, daughters and grandchildren.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. Arturo is preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto and Julia Saucedo, his father in law, Alejo Avalos, his nephew, Armando S. Rivera.

Arturo is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Bertha A. Saucedo, son, Gilbert Saucedo (Tracy), Cynthia (Reggie) Medina, Arturo JR (Laura), Lorena (Jesse) Ramirez, grandchildren: Kolby Saucedo, Joshua Jones, Taylor Jones, Art Saucedo III, Tristian Saucedo, Diego Ramirez, Saige Ramirez.

Sisters: Aurora (Jose) Garza, Felipa S. Chapa, Diana (Juan) Hinojosa, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Our family would like to sincerely thank the Doctors, caring Nurses of the Corpus Christi Medical Center, ICU Unit II, for all of their care, compassion, kindness and generosity during this trial some time, may our God richly Bless each and everyone of you.

Please join us in celebrating his 77 years of life on this earth. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016, from 5:00-9:00 pm., at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm., that evening being officiated by Pastor Jose Torres.
