Barbara Ann Hoffman Maley, 76, of Ingleside, TX. Passed away on August 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents Max and Iren Hoffman, her spouse Barry Wenton Maley, Sr., her step-sons Jay Anthony Maley, William Bartlett Bryant, Keven Bradley Bryant, her sister Maureen Jordon and numerous other siblings and shortly after her passing she is joined by her son John William Maley, II. She is survived by her daughter Juanita Christine Hopkins, her step-sons and step-daughter, Barry Wenton Maley, Jr., Barry Bryant and Linda Ann Maley, her niece and nephew Viki Viertel and Guy Jordon, her grandchildren, Aaron Lee Valchar, Bonnie Ann Valchar, Brittany Bradshaw, Deyanna Marie Hopkins-Tripp, Kara Michelle Hopkins, Andrew Thomas Anthony Hopkins, and Katie Lynn Hopkins-Martinez.
Barbara was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served her church through her numerous callings. She was a simple woman that had a no frills attitude. She was loving, kind and giving. She helped those that could not help themselves. She was a pillar of her community and church, and she would tell me not to say that. She didn’t like to receive “undue” attention as she would say. She lived a quiet life and enjoyed every moment she had of it. She would want me to tell you that she is happy and not to grieve her passing as she is with all the loved ones that have preceded her in death. I am sure her and my Aunt Maureen (her favorite sibling) are currently trying to figure out what they can create together, as they loved doing projects.
Family and Friends will be gathering for a memorial service to celebrate her life Tuesday, August 15, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 11:00 am at 600 Marriot Drive, Portland, Texas 78374.
In lieu of flowers, since she was a simple woman, the family is requesting donations to the Gofundme account for the burial. https://www.gofundme.com/BurialForTwo ,any donations to the family are greatly appreciated.
