She is preceded in death by her parents, Cosme and Maria Consepcion Vasquez; two sisters and one brother and survived by two brothers, Fulberto Vasquez and Evelio Vasquez.
Bertha is survived by her husband of 59 years, Reyes Garcia; six children, Hilario Garcia (Diana), Maria Garcia Mayorga (Jose), Rey Garcia (Gloria), Arnoldo Garcia (Elva), Norma Garcia Valdez (Rene), and Martha Garcia Quiroz (Jose); ten grandchildren, Hilario Jr.,Rene, Rey Jr., Arnold Jr., Joey, Rene Xavier, Monica, Nicholas, Jessica , Andrew and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will be receiving friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.
Funeral services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
