Carolina F. Gonzales

She was born in Waco, TX on October 18, 1923. She was married to Jose Israel Gonzales on July 22, 1940. Carolina F. Gonzales was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of Broadmoor Park Senior Center and had a passion for sewing, mariachi music and the Dallas Cowboys.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose I. Gonzales in 2008; her parents, Benito and Petra Flores; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her children, Yolanda Bernal (Frank), Yvonne Martinez (Joe), Vangie Mendez (Gilbert Rodriguez), Joe Gonzales Jr. (Lupe), Charles Gonzales (Diana), Ernest Gonzales (Christina) and Leonard Gonzales (Mary); brother, Kino Flores of Sugarland, TX; sister, Virginia Soto of Corpus Christi, TX; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Charles Gonzales, Leonard Gonzales, Craig Gonzales, Derek Gonzales, Hugo Mar Duran and David Black.

Honorary pallbearer will be Mark Martinez.
