Carolyn Anita Buehrig Bayless passed away January 3, 2016 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was 100 yrs. old. Carolyn was born in Meyersville, Texas August 13, 1915 to Gus and Anita Buehrig. She grew up and attended school in Meyersville. She lived in San Antonio and Victoria prior to moving to Corpus Christi in 1978. Carolyn was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Bayless. Survivors include her son, James C. “Jimmy” and wife, Carolyn Buehrig; 3 grandchildren, Dana (Monte) Sneed, Vicki (Lloyd) Downing and Jeff (Kristin) Buehrig; 7 great grandchildren, Ashley Sneed Dillard, Alexander Sneed, Ross Sneed, Clay Sneed, Luke Sneed, Sidney Buehrig and Matthew Buehrig and one great great granddaughter, Lucy Dillard.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2016 in the Chapel at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria, Texas. Pastor Ron Bessert will officiate.
