Catherine Viola Lawrimore, 72, of Corpus Christi, TX passed away on May 17, 2002. She was born on June 28, 1949, in Oak Harbor, Washington to the late Roy Warren and Ruby (Richardson) Warren. She was raised mostly in Corpus Christi, but lived in Washington, Rhode Island, and California as a child.
Catherine attended Mary Carroll High School initially, but graduated from Richard King High School in 1967. She lived in Puyallup, Washington for a time and worked as a secretary at the Brown & Haley Candy Company in Tacoma. In the early 70s she moved back to Corpus Christi, started working as a secretary at the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), and became re-acquainted with her best friend from childhood, Kenneth Lawrimore. The two married on November 21, 1975.
Catherine worked as a secretary at CCAD from 1974 to 2009, retiring as Secretary to the Commander after 35 years of service. She had a passion for dancing, donating to charitable causes, traveling with her family, and playing with her dog, Paco. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Kenneth, on May 18, 2018.
Catherine is survived by: her son Craig Lawrimore, his wife Vanessa Roberts and his step-son Tyler Eberhart, of Corpus Christi; her sister Charlotte Driggers, niece Heather Avery and her children Dylan and Cody, of Arizona; her aunt Bobbie Spiegel of Austwell, Texas; her niece Lisa Stahel and her children Robert and Sidney; and her nephew Dr H. Keith Robinson and his children Kinsey, Charlton, and Anna Claire.
A visitation for Catherine will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 starting at 8:30 AM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415, immediately followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 AM. Burial will commence thereafter at 11:15 AM.
