

Cynthia Lucille Vasquez, 58 of Corpus Christi, TX passed away on August 25, 2024. She was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on August 8, 1966 to John and Virginia Murphy. She married Mario Vasquez in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 5, 2003.
Cynthia graduated from Mayfield High School in 1984. She went on to earn her Associates Degree at the International Business College. She had a career as a legal secretary working for law firms in Litigation and Immigration. She was a dedicated employee until her retirement in March 2020. Cynthia served as a Eucharistic Minister and belonged to the Catholic Daughters of America.
Cynthia was kind, loving and supportive. She was energetic and loved to laugh and joke around, and she especially loved to dress up for Halloween. She was a talented cake maker and party planner, which she loved to do for her family, friends and co-workers. She would go all out and make events such as graduations and birthdays feel extra-special.
Spending time with her daughters, grandkids and all of her family was her favorite thing to do. Cynthia enjoyed watching her grandsons play soccer and football, and her special “Chick-fil-A Fridays” with grandson, Luke. She was an avid watcher of True Crime Stories
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Virginia Murphy; sister, Olivia Rodriguez; brother-in-law, Rick Rodriguez; and father-in-law, Mario S. Rodriguez.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 21 years, Mario Vasquez; mother-in-law, Rosa Vasquez; children, Adrianna (Robert) Alaniz, Yvonne (Javier Ryan) Pizana, Frank (Mandy) Hinojosa, Mario (Amanda) Vasquez, lll, Andrew J. (Melissa) Vasquez, and Ryan J. (Aubrey) Vasquez; siblings, Marie (Victor) Archuleta, Olivia (Rick) Rodriguez, Viola (Billy) Aragon, Helen (Kenny) Maese, Diane (Bobby) Hernandez, Johnny (Bonnie) Murphy, Gracie Jackson, Debra (Dino) Facio, Annette Murphy, Ronnie Murphy, Arnold (Sheila) Murphy, Arthur (Elaina) Murphy, and Max Murphy; 18 grandchildren and another two on the way.

A public visitation for Cynthia will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A holy rosary will occur Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A funeral mass will occur Friday, September 6, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St Peter Prince Of The Apostles, 3901 Violet Rd, Corpus Christi, TX 78410. An interment will occur Friday, September 6, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
