Dan V. Curtis

Mr. Dan Curtis worked for the City of Corpus Christi for 30 years at Ben Garza Gym. He also played Baseball with the Minor League called The Cardinals. He loved to BBQ. He served in the United States Army. Dan was a member of Friendship Baptist Church under the Rev. Frederick Fillmore and Rev. Axle of Mount Pilgrim Baptista.

Dan is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Curtis; parents, Robert Curtis Sr. and Selena Harris; sister, Elvia Lanehart; brothers, JC, Robert Jr., James Curtis; daughters, Frances Green, Ona Mae Hall; and grandson, Richard Green.

He leaves in mourning step daughter, Andrea Mae McCullen; granddaughters, Wanda Jean and her husband David SiFuentes Sr.; Jo Neill Green; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; nephew, William Lanehart and his wife JoAnn; best devoted friends, Mr. Lee Harris, Mr. & Mrs. Jerry Haywood; Mr. Hanks; and Miss Green.

He loved his neighbors on Elvira St. He had two great care takers, Daphine Haywood and Winona Anthony. We want to extend the most heartfelt Thank You to all of the care staff who were with him and our family throughout this time at UTMB Jennie Sealy Hospital.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Graveside Service will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
