He was born in Bishop, Texas on July 16, 1945.
He graduated from Miller High School in Corpus Christi, Texas 1965.
He married Diana Valdez on September 15, 1972. at Saint Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Corpus Christi, Texas
Daniel Leal had a career in the United States Air Force where he achieved the rank of Staff Sargent, and later in Helicopter Maintenance and Repair for the Department of Defense at the Corpus Christi Army Depot where he retired.
He was a easy going and easy to work for and with.
Daniel had a passion for spending time with his family/dancing/travel/volunteering and the Dallas Cowboys.
He was known for his long talks, his advice, being funny, trips, cooking special dishes, barbecuing, sporting events on TV, birthday parties, joking, smiling).
There are so many memories of him coaching our teams in soccer. Doing many repairs to the apartments. Holding the flashlight while he repaired our vehicles. Taking road trips throughout the US. Playing on the floor with his grandchildren.
Daniel is preceded in death by, his parents, Elfego Leal, Sinforiana Leal ; his siblings, Eleazar Leal, Ovidio Leal, Linda, Rudy Leal .
He is survived by his children, Michael Leal (Paula), Philip Leal (Roxanna), Amy Leal; his brothers and sisters, Elfego Leal, Dina Infante, Ida Leal, Jimmy Leal. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren, Michaela and Logan Leal, Isaac, Marco and Arianna Leal, Daisy, Bella, and Jade; 1 great grandchild Christopher.

A visitation for Daniel will be held Friday, January 3, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411.
