He graduated from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi with a Bachelor's and Master's in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) and was employed by HALO Flight, selflessly serving South Texas as a Flight Nurse.
Danny will be missed and lovingly remembered by Diana, his partner of many years, and children, Charles and Gordon.
He is survived by Frank and Barbara Oakes, Kathy Nelson, brothers Tom Nelson and Rob Nelson (Dorothy), stepbrothers Walker Howell (January) and Patrick Howell (DiAnn) and many friends and relatives.
Danny was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness wherever he went.
Family will receive friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. that same morning. He will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
