Daniel, age 31, was called home to heaven surrounded by love. He was born on August 26, 1994, alongside his twin brother, Alex – a bond that was special from the very beginning. Born with cerebral palsy and nonverbal, Daniel spoke to the hearts of those around him in ways words could – through his gentle sounds, his cries, his laughter, and the way he lovingly focused on the faces he knew and trusted.
Daniel was beautiful, pure in spirit, and deeply lovable. His life was a blessing, and his presence taught everyone who knew him about patience, compassion, and unconditional love. Though his journey on earth held challenges, he was never alone. He was cared for with devotion and surrounded by love every day of his life.
Those closest to Daniel knew that his soul was radiant. He felt love deeply and gave it freely. His smile, his quiet strength, and his peaceful presence will forever live in the hearts of those who loved him.
Daniel is now at rest, healed and whole, embraced in God’s loving arms. As scripture reminds us, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14). We find comfort in knowing that Daniel’s gentle and innocent spirit is safe in the presence of the Lord, free from pain and resting in perfect peace.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ramon and Rebecca Amaya, and his paternal grandparents, Osvaldo and Isaura Oliveira.
He is survived by his loving parents, David and Becky Oliveira; his twin brother, Alex (Amy) Oliveira of Corpus Christi, Texas; his brother, Matthew Oliveira of San Antonio, Texas; his beloved niece, Paige Oliveira; and Tillie Alejandro, his devoted caregiver of 24 years, who loved him very much as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Daniel will always be our precious son. He will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever carried in our hearts until we meet again.
Being Daniel’s mom and dad was the most beautiful calling God ever gave us. He taught us more about unconditional love than we could have ever taught him.
