David Alonzo Herrera

Surrounded by peace and the sea of love he received throughout his life's journey, David Alonzo Herrera released his warrior spirit into the hands of our Almighty Father on March 22, 2018, at the age of 31. He was born on March 10, 1987 in Corpus Christi, TX. David is preceded in death by his mother, Oralia Campos Herrera; paternal grandparents, Francisco and Maria Aleja Herrera and maternal grandfather, Juan Campos. He leaves behind his father, Ruperto Duron Herrera; maternal grandmother, Guadalupe Campos; siblings, Orlando (Norma) Herrera, Amanda (Oscar) Pena, Omar (Lisa) Herrera and Javier (Marisela) Herrera; nieces and nephews, Martika, Orlando, Mariel, Liana, Marseli, Oscar, Karina, Ricardo, Karalee, Carlos, Omar, Marisa, Ava, Gabriel and Aurel. David also leaves behind an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him and supported him through all the difficult and joyous times of his life, and to whom we are extremely grateful. We also want to thank Father Ogie and the Parish of St. Joseph for their spiritual support and the nurses and staff from Altus Hospice for your guidance and professional care. God Bless us all! Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
