David G. Viera passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the age of 93. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX to his parents, Gavino and Elvira Viera on December 5, 1920. David was a World War II Veteran and served in the Army, Navy and the Marines.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years of marriage, his parents, his children, David, Robert and Roland and numerous siblings. David is survived by his daughter Zulema V. Alvarado (Raul), George Viera (Elvia) and Jose Antonio Viera (Maribel); daughter-in-law, Anna Viera; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his three sisters, Mimi, Maria and Lydia and numerous other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel on Monday, June 23, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
