Delia was born to Encarnacion Trevino and Juanita Trevino, on July 25th, 1953, in Robstown Texas. She graduated from Robstown Highschool and received an associate’s degree from the Del Mar College. She married Ruben G. Fuentes Jr. on January 9th, 1992.
Delia was a woman whose presence felt like sunshine—bright, warm, and impossible to forget. She lived with a spark in her spirit and a natural charisma that drew people close, filling every room with laughter, comfort, and light.
She was a devoted wife, loved deeply and unconditionally; a nurturing mother who always knew how to soothe and comfort; a sister with an unmatched sense of humor; and a friend who could lift any spirit with just a word or a smile. Delia had a rare gift: she could walk into any room and make it brighter simply by being there. She was, without a doubt, so much fun, and her joyful energy became part of the cherished memories held by all who loved her.
Her family adored her and takes comfort in knowing she is in heaven with our Lord—a place filled with the same light, laughter, and love that she shared so freely here on earth.
Delia survives by her husband Ruben G. Fuentes Jr., children Paul D. Trevino (Anita), Marcos A. Garcia (Cindy), Anastacia Concepcion Garcia Trevino, Eric N. Fuentes, Ashley D. Cortez (Gabriel). She also leaves, to cherish her memory, siblings Dalia Mahuran, Noelia Trevino, Albert Trevino, and numerous grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Encarnacion Trevino and Juanita Trevino and her sister Thelma Trevino.
Delia worked as an insurance accountant for Dr. Jacquiline Cohn M.D. for numerous years. She enjoyed jogging, sewing, and cooking. Delia was also actively involved in the Robstown Ladies Kickball Club, Robstown ISD PTA, and Robstown Highschool Band Parent Support.
Delia will be remembered for navigating wonderfully through a blended family by her second marriage and lovingly caring for all 5 children. She gave them all her attention and satisfied every need. She often sacrificed her health, wants, and needs, ensuring the children were well taken care of. She was there from little league games to United States Navy Graduation Ceremonies. She was present for high school and college graduations for as long as her health permitted.
