Dora S. De La Cruz

Dora worked as a seamstress for the Corpus Christi State School and a Nurse’s Aide. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1980. She enjoyed attending and participating in the Christian Women’s group events. She enjoyed gardening and loved to sew; she also enjoyed watching baseball and football. She enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Amado J. Silva and mother Angelita C. Silva; Her husband Ignacio B. De La Cruz; infant children Domingo, Dahlia Marie and Deborah Annette; Siblings, Margarita Liscano, Arturo Silva, and Celia Sarmiento.

She is survived by children, Mary Helen De La Cruz, Juan Antonio De La Cruz (Ida), Melissa Ann Torres (Danny); Grandchildren include Juan David De La Cruz (Camille), Danny De La Cruz (Megan), Belinda Ann De La Cruz, Amanda Nichole Reyes (Steven); Great-grandchildren, Phillip Bapties, Alex Bapties, Marcus Anthony De La Cruz, Alexis Nicole Manche, Kiara Sofia Batres, Steven Reyes Jr, Angel Reyes and Elijah Renee Reyes. Including numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 on Saturday, April 8, 2023 with a Visitation to begin at 9:00am and a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00am. Entombment will be held in Memory Gardens Masusoleum at 11:00 am.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are David De La Cruz, Daniel De La Cruz, Steven P. Reyes, Richard Martinez III, Marcus R. Martinez and Marcus De La Cruz.
