Doris is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Donald D. Dorsey; sisters, Marjorie and Jean; brother, Walter; and her grandson, Willis Everson.
She graduated from Howard High School and married the love of her life, Donald D. Dorsey in June of 1971.Doris was a proud member of the USO, Arthritis Foundation, and Women of the Moose. She will be remembered for her passion to read, make crafts, and complete puzzles.
She leaves her memories to her daughters, Tammy Placker and Dezi Whiteaker son, Donald D. Dorsey II; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; best friend, Margie Tice; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, January 12th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. An inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
