Dorothy Walter Turner passed away peacefully in her sleep on Christmas morning 2017 with her husband of 67 years, Pat Turner, by her side. She was 88 years old. She will be missed by Pat and her sons, Pat Jr. (Kandy) and Stephen (Jolayne), and her grandchildren, Emily and Sam, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Raised in Houston, Texas, she graduated from Milby High School and later attended Rice University until Pat was called away to the Korean War in 1952. She was a loving wife and mother and an adoring grandmother. "Dot" had many friends throughout the state of Texas and she could always be counted on to provide support in times of need and laughter in times of celebration. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and served in many capacities in her younger years.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Sutter for his kindness and excellent care. In addition, special thanks go out to Rosemary Lozano and her husband Ruben and the dedicated sitters who have provided compassionate and loving care.
A private family ceremony is planned.
Arrangements under the direction of Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, Corpus Christi, TX.
