Eddie Stewart was born on September 18, 1938 to Willie and Jeanette Stewart in New Orleans, LA. Eddie graduated from high school and moved to Corpus Christi, TX; where he met and married Betty Jean Stewart. Eddie worked faithfully at Windsor Park Animal Hospital for over 40 years; he was considered family and deeply loved by everyone there. He also enjoyed spending his weekends at Cole Park barbecuing for his family.
Eddie accepted Christ and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Harvey Houston at First Church of God in Corpus Christi. He truly loved the Lord; he later became a devoted member of Remnant Church Houston, under the leadership of Pastor Dave Cash.
A beloved husband, brother and father, Eddie leaves behind his wife Betty Stewart of Houston, TX; brother, James Joseph Stewart, Corpus Christi, TX; son, Mervin Moore, Houston, TX; And daughters, Bernadette Axel, San Antonio, TX, Jeanette Young, Fort Mitchell, Alabama, Veronica, Waco, Texas, Vonne Edwards, Corpus Christi, TX, and Freddie Mae Coleman, Houston, TX. (deceased).
Above all, Eddie loved his family and he leaves to bear the touch of his blessed life and legacy, his grandchildren who affectionately call him “Paw Paw,” Marlon Hardeman (Mia), Marcus Coleman (Tanee), and Pakeithe Saavedra (Samuel); great-grandchildren, Dominique, Kamri, Lirac, Marlon Jr, Ayla, Izabella, Joseph, Mariah, Adriana, Natalia, Mia, Malachi, Savannah, Serenity, Faith, and Hope; and great-great grandchildren, Mo, Alexander James, Olivia and Michael James; and a host of nieces, nephews, spiritual children, family and friends.
Eddie will be greatly missed by all, however we know that he is rejoicing in heaven and we have been truly blessed by the life he fully lived and his legacy will live on. A raindrop landing on your cheek is like a kiss from someone who lives in Heaven and is watching over you…
