

Born on September 16th in Corpus Christi, Eddie lived a life full of love, kindness, and hard work. He was known for his sense of humor and his devotion to his family and was also known as the Bus Driver for all his grandchildren’s events.
Eddie spent his career as a Bus driver for West Oso, where he was respected by colleagues and cherished by those he served. Beyond his work, he found joy in fishing with his kids, playing bingo with his wife, and watching the West Oso Lady Bears basketball team, he also loved listening to live bands play in his free time.
He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and his greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his spouse Mary Silvas of 28 years, 12 kids Eddie, Lucy, Jessica, Edmund (Jessica), Edwin (Candice) Adriana, Elizabeth (Kenneth) Lori, Cindy (Marcus) David Jr (Jennifer), Aiden and Anthony. 24 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 6 siblings, Jesse (Veronica), Sylvia (Juan deceased), Francis, Edith, Luis, Jesse and lots of cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his 2 siblings Carlos and Hopie, his parents Eduardo and Teresa Silvas.
A celebration of Eduardo’s (Eddie) life will be held for family and friends on October 8th for visitations from 3-9pm with a rosary at 7pm at Funeraria del Angel Corpus Christi, 549 Cheyenne St. On October 9th visitations from 9AM-10:30AM at Funeraria del Angel followed by a funeral mass at Our Lady of Pilar Church starting at 10:30AM and will proceed with the burial at Rose Hill Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories of the man who touched so many lives.
