Eleamar Montalvo Rodriguez

Eleamar is survived by her children, Amador “Sam” (Nora) Rodriguez, Jr. and Elda (Rey) Ortiz; grandchildren, Kristi Rae (Orlando) Barrera and Lucas Mikael Rodriguez; great grandchildren, Mila Rae and Kora Grace Barrera; sisters, Noemi Cantu and Maria Otila Silvas; and her brother Hector Montalvo.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Amador Rodriguez; parents, Alfredo and Otila Montalvo; sisters, Corina Ramirez, Irene Trevino, Ruth Soliz, Gloria Silvas, and her brother Israel Montalvo.

She was a beautiful, talented, hard-working, and incredibly strong woman. She lived a full life and loved her family profusely. She was known for her incredible cooking, baking, gardening, and sewing skills. Her compassion, love, and generosity extended beyond her immediate family to her nieces and nephews who also enjoyed her humor and love.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Maria Salazar who cared for Eleamar during her later years as well as to Eustace Bett and Carmen Garza. We also offer our appreciation to Nora Molina of Altus Hospice for her kindness and dedication for our loved one.

Our fond memories of her will remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
