Elia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Gamez; sister, Olga Lugo Trevino; brothers, Robert Lugo, Jr., and Romero Lugo.
She is survived by her son, Carlos Gamez, III; and sister, Della Navarez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A public visitation for Elia will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 5:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A holy rosary will occur Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 7:00 PM, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. An interment will follow at 11:00 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
