

Elida Aurora Clark-Hernandez, 80, passed away on October 14, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born on March 15, 1933 to Fernando and Clementina Clark in Corpus Christi, Texas. She had the most important job in the world, “taking care of her family.” Elida was known for her skills in carpenter and machinery. She was known for decorating the yard on holidays, which were appreciated by many. She was known for putting her foot down when decisions needed to be made and she was the law – but most of all she was known for “Her Big Heart.”
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lorenzo C. Hernandez, Jr. of 68 years; daughter Eloise H. Botello, Mary Louise Hernandez; son Marcos C. Hernandez; granddaughter, Melissa H. Botello, brother Gilberto Clark and her parents.
She is survived by daughter Maria Trinidad, Jo Ann and Sandra Lynn Hernandez all of Corpus Christi, Texas; four sons Lorenzo (Larry) III, John Christopher of Corpus Christi, Texas, Gilbert C. Hernandez of South Carolina and Fernando (Susan) Hernandez of Handover Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren David A. (Juanita) Hernandez, Marcos Hernandez, Jr. Mark A. Meza of Corpus Christi, Texas, Marcus, Leticia, Joseph Michael Botello of Austin, Texas, Kristina Louise and Rowland Hernandez of Handover, Pennsylvania and great grandchildren; Xavier Botello of Austin, Texas and Elijah A. Hernandez of Corpus Christi and Brianna Marie Hernandez ; brother Fernando Clark of Houston, Texas, sister Aurora Zambrano of Houston, Texas and Rosa Cruz of Robstown, Texas.
Family will be receiving friends from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Funeraria del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Rd., with a rosary to be recited that same evening at 7:00 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
