Emilie Rodriguez dedicated much of her life to caring for others, both through her long career in Health Care Systems and in the way she lived each and every day. She had a heart that knew no bounds — always putting others before herself, no matter the circumstances. Emilie’s home was a haven for anyone in need, and her love was the kind that wrapped around you like a warm embrace. If you needed help, she’d give you her last dime. If you were tired, she’d offer you her bed. And if you were hungry, she made sure you never left her home without a full stomach — even if it meant going without herself.
Her kindness was matched only by her strength. Emilie taught her family what it meant to be resilient, to stand on their own feet, and to do it all with grace and determination. She was the heart of the family, the one who held everyone together through life’s ups and downs — with smiles, tears, and laughter that will echo in our hearts forever.
She found joy in the simple things: starting her mornings with her novelas and a warm cup of coffee, cooking meals filled with love, and being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her cooking wasn’t just food — it was comfort, tradition, and love served on a plate.
Emilie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ramon Rodriguez and Melida Mireles; her siblings, Eleesandro, Thomas, Ricardo, Rodolfo, and Adelina Rodriguez; and her dear children, Diana Ramirez-Garcia and George Garza.
She is survived by her loving children: Vicente Morales, Jr., Sandra Morales, Kent Osborn, Cynthia Slaughter, and Guadalupe Garza, Jr.; her siblings: Manuel, Reynaldo, Ramona, Maria, Margarita, Delia Rodriguez, Norma, and San Juanita Arriaga; and her many adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom carry a piece of her beautiful spirit in their hearts.
A special thank you to Alexandria, Colleen and Rose, whose kindness and care brought Emilie comfort and peace in her final days. Your compassion will never be forgotten.
Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing Emilie’s love lives on in all of us. She was a true example of selflessness, strength, and unconditional love — a legacy we will carry forward always.
