Ernesto Martinez Sr. passed away on January 28, 2017 at the age of 75. He was born in Monterrey, Mexico to the late Tivorcio and Amalia Martinez. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters. Ernesto is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Rosa Nelia Martinez; sons, Ernesto Martinez Jr., Alejandro Martinez (Ermelinda) and Oscar Mario Martinez; grandchildren, Elise M. Martinez, Ernesto Martinez III, Ryan R. Mirabal, Samuel A. Martinez, Oscar M. Martinez Jr. and Damien Martinez and numerous family members and friends. Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd. on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 12:30 pm with the Chapel service to follow at 3:00 pm. Services will conclude after with inurnment to follow at a later date.
