Evelyn L. Russell

She was born in Yoakum, Texas on June 8, 1943 to Walter and Hedwig Winter.

Evelyn worked for World Wide Travel and Then Sandborn’s Travel Agency as office manager of Corporate Travel until her retirement. She then worked with her son at Russell Medical until her love for plants led to employment with Green Things. Evelyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend whom will be missed dearly by all.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Adolph Winter, Bill Winter and Fritz Winter and two sisters, Doris Janota and Aline Winter.

She leaves behind her family to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 45 years, Parris D. Russell; one daughter, Dayna (Juan) Nieto; two sons, David (Debra) Russell and Dennis (Adrian) Russell all of Corpus Christi; two granddaughters and seven grandsons; four sisters, Helen Winter and Jo Ann (Clifton) Lau both of Victoria, Texas, Adela Winter of Rosenberg, Texas and Martha (Alfred) Tesch of Yoakum, Texas; father-in-law, Norman (Eleanor) Anger; two brothers-in-law, Garry (Saule) Russell and Allen Anger; one sister-in-law, Sharon (Ron) Anger all of Edmonton Alberta, Canada.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
