Federico Ramirez Velasquez Sr.

Federico Ramirez Velasquez Sr., 88, from Corpus Christi and resided in La Porte with his daughter Mary Ann V. Bridge, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015. He was born on March 6, 1926 in Lyford, Texas to Hijinio Velasquez Sr. and Antonia Ramirez Velasquez. Federico is preceded in death by his wife of 53 Years Isidora Sanchez Velasquez,parents Mr. and Mrs. Hijinio Velasquez and brothers’ Julian, Andres, and Charles Velasquez. He is survived by children, Fred Velasquez Jr., Janie V. Villarreal, Mary Ann V. Bridge, Robert Velasquez Sr., and Julia V. Gomez, grandchildren, Patricia Gonzalez, Pedro Velasquez, Raul S. Alvarez Jr., Monica Seals, Noe Albert Alvarez, Frank Rivers, Leo Joel Alvarez, Robert Velasquez Jr., Natalie Hall, Jacob Velasquez, Angelia V. Soto, Arlene Flores, Ruby Candice Valdez, Jessica McGee, Becky Aldrighetti and Audrey Velasquez; and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters, Herlinda Sanchez, Teresa Vasquez, Lupe Andrede, Lydia Lara, Juanita Velasquez, Toni Medina and brother Hijinio Velasquez Jr. Federico was an employee for 31 years at CPC International, and a member of The Holy Family Church and Christ The King of Corpus Christi. He also served as Usher, Eucharistic Minister and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed sports and was a Dallas Cowboy fan by heart. He will greatly be missed by family and friends. Many thanks to family, friends, care givers, home health and hospice who took part in his life. A Visitation will be held for Federico at Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 5-9 P.M., with a rosary beginning at 6 P.M. There will be a Visitation on Friday February 27 from 5-9 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi. Funeral Service will be on Saturday February 28 at 10am with Burial following at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
