Felicita Garza

Born on January 30, 1984, Felicita lived a life defined by love, determination, and an unwavering commitment to her family and her calling. She was a woman of strength and grace — hardworking, wise, deeply intelligent, and endlessly compassionate. Every role she embraced, she carried out with her whole heart.

Felicita proudly graduated from Miller High School before continuing her academic journey at Kansas State University, where she earned her master’s degree. Her passion for education did not stop there. Driven by a love for learning and an unshakable belief in the power of knowledge, she pursued and completed her master’s in education. At the time of her passing, she was courageously working toward her doctorate degree — a testament to her perseverance and her desire to inspire others.

Teaching was not just her profession; it was her calling. She believed in nurturing young minds, encouraging curiosity, and planting seeds of confidence in every student she encountered. Her dedication left a lasting imprint on countless lives.

Above all else, Felicita was a devoted and loving mother. Her son and daughter were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into raising them with love, strength, and creativity. She shared her deep passion for cooking, arts, and crafts with her beautiful daughter, Rosalinda Basalda, passing down not just skills but cherished memories filled with laughter and warmth. Her home was a place of comfort, delicious meals, creativity, and unconditional love.

Felicita was deeply loved by her Aunt Felicita Almaguer, whose bond with her was one of special closeness and enduring affection.

She is preceded in death by her beloved mother, Rosa Garza; her uncles, Alvaro Garza Jr. and Alejandro Garza; and her grandmother, Maria Adelina Garza. Though she mourned these losses in life, we find comfort in imagining their joyful reunion.

Felicita is survived by her devoted father, Juan Jaime Garza; her loving sisters, Janie Bonny Garza, Sally Ivette Garza, and Maria Adelina Garza; and by many extended family members and friends whose lives were forever enriched by her kindness and strength.

Though her time with us was far too short, Felicita’s legacy of love, faith, education, and perseverance will live on through her children and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter, her wisdom, and her nurturing spirit will remain in our hearts always.

She was truly one of a kind — a beautiful soul who gave so much of herself to others. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Con corazones llenos de dolor y profunda tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Felicita Garza, quien partió de este mundo el 13 de febrero de 2026, a la edad de 42 años.

Nació el 30 de enero de 1984 y vivió una vida marcada por el amor, la determinación y un compromiso inquebrantable con su familia y su vocación. Fue una mujer fuerte y llena de gracia: trabajadora, sabia, sumamente inteligente y profundamente compasiva. Cada papel que desempeñó lo hizo con todo su corazón.

Felicita se graduó con orgullo de Miller High School y continuó su preparación académica en Kansas State University, donde obtuvo su maestría. Su pasión por la educación no se detuvo allí. Impulsada por su amor al aprendizaje y su firme creencia en el poder del conocimiento, obtuvo también su maestría en educación. Al momento de su partida, se encontraba luchando con valentía por alcanzar su doctorado, reflejo de su perseverancia y su deseo constante de superación e inspiración hacia los demás.

La enseñanza no era solo su profesión; era su vocación. Creía firmemente en nutrir las mentes jóvenes, en fomentar la curiosidad y en sembrar confianza en cada estudiante que tocaba su vida. Su dedicación dejó una huella imborrable en muchos corazones.

Por encima de todo, Felicita fue una madre amorosa y entregada. Su hijo y su hija eran la luz de su vida, y dedicó cada esfuerzo a criarlos con amor, fortaleza y creatividad. Compartía su profundo amor por la cocina, las artes y las manualidades con su hermosa hija, Rosalinda Basalda, transmitiéndole no solo habilidades, sino también recuerdos llenos de risas y ternura. Su hogar siempre fue un lugar de calidez, sabores inolvidables, creatividad y amor incondicional.

Felicita fue profundamente querida por su tía, Felicita Almaguer, con quien compartía un vínculo especial lleno de cariño y cercanía.

Le preceden en la muerte su querida madre, Rosa Garza; sus tíos, Alvaro Garza Jr. y Alejandro Garza; y su abuela, Maria Adelina Garza. Aunque su partida dejó un gran vacío, nos reconforta imaginar el reencuentro lleno de paz y amor.

Le sobreviven su amado padre, Juan Jaime Garza; sus queridas hermanas, Janie Bonny Garza, Sally Ivette Garza y Maria Adelina Garza; así como muchos familiares y amigos que fueron bendecidos por su bondad, inteligencia y fortaleza.

Aunque su tiempo entre nosotros fue demasiado corto, el legado de Felicita — de amor, educación, perseverancia y entrega — vivirá para siempre en sus hijos y en todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.
