

Floyd was born on June 21, 1943 in Coolidge, Arizona. He graduated from Irving High School. He married the love of his life, Jean Riggs, on July 28, 1961 and had three wonderful children. Floyd spent most of his life as a diesel mechanic. He was the Service Manager at Stewart & Stevenson and was the owner of Barton’s Diesel Service. Floyd and Jean attends Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. He had a deep love for his family and the Lord Jesus. His passions were spending time with his family, hunting, skiing, and practical jokes. Floyd always had a smile on his face and was full of laughter.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Doris Barton, and his brother Robert Barton. He was survived by his wife: Jean Barton; son: Wendell Ray Barton; daughters: Lori Rene Gianotti (Eugene), Sonya Kae Carpenter (Scott); grandchildren: Eugene Raymond Gianotti III, Wendell Scott Gianotti, Krystal Renee Gianotti, Wendell Ray Barton II, Naomi Rene Barton, Cassie Kae Carpenter, Mikaela Ann Carpenter; great-grandchildren: Abbigail Lane Jaramillo, and Dakota Michael Saenz; brother: Kevin Barton (Annette); sisters: Patsy Jett (Steve), Debbie Henegar (Fred); sister-in-law: Pat Barton, Kay Riggs; brother-in-law: C. J. Riggs (Jama); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Floyd had many friends and incredible care givers. He was much loved and will be greatly missed, but we rejoice that he is healthy again, walking and talking with Jesus in Gloryland.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Glad Tidings Church in Corpus Christi for their Missions Dept.
