Francisco “Kiko” Guerra, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 13, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on October 4, 1919 in Laredo, Texas to the late Teodora Flores and Antonio Guerra.
Francisco is a World War II Veteran having served in the United States Army and a member of the 104th Infantry Division. He worked from 1954-1986 as a bus driver for the Nueces Bus Transportation and later the Regional Transit.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Christopher Guerra. Francisco is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Maria R. Guerra; his children, Frank (Mary Ellen) Guerra, Joe (Esther) Guerra, Johnny (Gracie) Guerra, Raul (Blanca) Guerra, Mary (Hector) Saenz, Henry Guerra, Richard (Irene) Guerra, Teddie (Roy) Ibanez; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be recited at 5:00 p.m. that same afternoon.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with Entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
