Georgie Del Bosque Sosa

Gregoria was born to Gregorio and Isabel Del Bosque on November 14, 1934, in Vattman, Texas. She graduated from Skidmore-Tynan High School and earned her LVN certification from Del Mar College on May 25, 1956. Georgia and Hermenejildo Sosa, Jr., were married on February 18, 1957, and made Corpus Christi, Texas, their home, raising four children with love and devotion.

Gregoria is survived by her two sons, Richard Sosa (Joyce Sosa) and Rogelio Sosa (Melissa Sosa), and her daughter, Romelia (Rommy) Sosa. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Christopher Sosa, Madison Sosa, Aaron Hoss (Joanna), Michelle Chavez (Mike), Greg Sosa (Karmina), Danielle Mladenka, Daniel Mladenka, Darren Mladenka, Josh Mora, Rocky Sosa Jr., and Roman Sosa, as well as eleven great-grandchildren to cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hermenejildo Sosa, and her beloved son, Ruben Sosa.

Georgia worked as an LVN at Thomas Spann Clinic for 25 years before continuing her nursing career at Tri Sun Nursing Home, Trinity Towers, and, in her later years, at Texas Adult Day Care. She had a true passion for nursing and loved caring for people, always showing kindness and compassion to those around her. She was also an avid reader, with a special interest in anything related to nursing and the medical field. Georgia loved the San Antonio Spurs and was one of their biggest fans. You could always find her watching the NBA, WNBA, and women’s college basketball.

A visitation will be held on October 30, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, located at 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415.

A rosary will follow from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm at the same location.

The funeral service will take place on October 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Home.

Committal will follow from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the same venue.
