

Gonzalo Briones Naranjo went to be with the Savior Jesus Christ, on June 29th, 2012 at the age of 78. He was born on August 23, 1933 to Gonzalo Villarreal Naranjo and Dolores Briones Naranjo in Beeville, Texas.
Gonzalo was preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo V. and Dolores B. Naranjo; two brothers, Ismael and Emilio Naranjo, one great-granddaughter, Gabriela Naranjo; one step-grandson, Juan Angel Cruz.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Josephine Santos Naranjo; five children, David G. Naranjo, Ricardo Naranjo, Daniel Naranjo (Nita), Christine Naranjo Tovar (Jesus) and Eduardo Naranjo (Debbie); seven grandchildren, Nicolas Abram Naranjo, Joe Buck Naranjo, Maria Crystal Naranjo, Elida Lambeth, Daniel Naranjo, Jr., Tiffany Monique Longoria, and Brandon Stachowiak; eight great grandchildren; Olivia Naranjo, Austin Naranjo, Jacob Garza, Jaylen Brian Sanders, Ramiro Longoria IV, Eliana Josephine Longoria, Adrian Lucas Naranjo, and Anthony Gabriel Naranjo; one brother, Ruben Naranjo (Rosie), and one sister, Adelfa Rita Gonzalez.
He was a favorite uncle to numerous nephews and nieces.
Mr. Naranjo was a veteran of the Korean War.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 11:30 am with interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
