Guadalupe C. Gil

Guadalupe C. Gil, 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away May 31, 2013. She was born in Mirando City, Texas on December 12, 1926. She married Juan Gil, Jr. on October 19, 1940. Guadalupe worked as an elderly caregiver with many private clients. She had a passion for sewing. She is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Gil, Jr.; son, Rick Gil, Sr.; daughters-in-law, Yolanda Gil and Janie Gil; siblings, Natalia Ramirez, Nicho Menchaca and Margarita Valadez. She is survived by her sons, Juan Alonzo Gil, Ernest (Gloria) Gil, Rudy Gil and Javier Gil; daughters, Rosie (Birginia) Gil and Esmeralda Gil; grandchildren, Erica (Michael) Blanco, Juan Alonzo (Lori) Gil, Jr., Stephanie Gil, Ernest Gil, Jr., Jackie Gil, Jennifer Gil, Janelle Gil and Rick Gil, Jr.; step-grandchildren, Jenifer Martinez and Jimmy Guerra IV; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., that same evening at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2509 Nogales. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family would like to give a very special thank you to Catalina Moir, who took great care of mom and for Dr. Jude Aririguzo for the many years of physician care.
