A longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Guadalupe “Lupe” Cordova took her final rest on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at the age of 82. She was born on December 12, 1932 in Harlingen, Texas to the late Carlos and Estefana Rodriguez. She was one of four daughters.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 56 years, Fermin Eluterio Cordova and 2 sisters.
She is survived by her 8 children along with 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 sister that have brought much joy to her life.
Lupe was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a talented vocalist and an accomplished artist. She loved life and had a charisma that could light up a room. Her interests included bowling, sewing and spending time with her family.
The family will be receiving friends at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly on Monday, August 24, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery following the church service.
