Hermelinda Contreras Pedraza

Linda was born on April 28, 1941 in Kingsville, Texas. She graduated from Roy Miller High School and worked as a research chemical technician for PPG Industries and Celanese Corporation. She married Francisco Mata Pedraza on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 1961. Linda enjoyed traveling, reading, spending time with family, hosting parties and entertaining at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was a devoted Wife, Mom and Friend and was always dreaming about her next vacation. She had a loving, generous heart, and was always giving to others.

Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 42 years, Francisco Mata Pedraza in 2004 and her beloved son, Miguel Pedraza in 2015.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by brothers, Juan Manuel Contreras, Martimiano Contreras and Jose Roberto Contreras, all of Corpus Christi, Texas and her children, Francisco Pedraza Jr. of Richmond, Texas, Oscar (Dolores) Pedraza of Sugar Land, Texas, Luis Antonio Sr. (Dina) Pedraza and Monica Craig, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; Grandchildren, Francisco Pedraza III, Eric Blake Pedraza, Luis Antonio Pedraza Jr., Victoria Anne Pedraza, AnnaLea Cristal Pedraza, Brock Richard Pedraza, Jonathan Edward Craig, Fernando Miguel Pedraza and Evan Michelle Pedraza.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 8200 Old Brownsville, Road, Corpus Christi, Texas on June 8, 2016 at 5:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.

Additional viewing will be held Thursday morning at 8:00 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A procession will then proceed to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow at the Memory Gardens Cemetery.
