Irma Paz Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 28, 2025, at the age of 79. Irma was born on October 25, 1945, in Childress, Texas to the late Jesus A. Paz and Cecilia B. Paz. Irma was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Irma enjoyed watching her novelas and spending time with her furbaby Mocha Rodriguez. She also loved to cook and feed everyone that came through her front door. Irma will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.
Irma is preceded in death by her husband, Juan Antonio Rodriguez, Sr.; great-granddaughter, Michelle J. Limpin; Father, Jesus A. Paz; Sisters, Maria Paz, Linda Zaragoza, and Gloria Moya.
Irma is survived by her loving children, a son, Juan Antonio Rodriguez, Jr. (Yvonne) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters, Mary Angel Valenzuela (Carlos) of Kingsville, Texas; Monica Rodriguez (Jose Daniel Cavazos); Joann Rodriguez (Johnny Flores); and Selena Michelle Villanueva, all of Corpus Christi, TX. She is also survived by her loving mother Cecilia B. Paz and a brother Jesus Paz, Jr, both of Corpus Christi, TX.
Irma was blessed with ten grandchildren, Ashley Leeann Valenzuela; Felisha Nicole Sanchez; Dominique Rosalie Torres; Carlos Valenzuela, Jr.; Robert Brian Valenzuela; Deborah Anne Limpin; Brandon Jacob Rodriguez; Caitlin Celeste Flores; Kylie Cheyenne Flores; Savannah Lynn Flores, and twenty great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of Spohn Shoreline Hospital, Neuro ICU for all of the loving care and support provided to Irma and her family. The family would also like to thank everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
A visitation for Irma will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly, 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A holy rosary will occur Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A visitation will occur Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 8:30 A.M. to 9:15 A.M., 3442 Holly Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78415. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church, 1101 Bloomington St., Corpus Christi, TX 78416. A rite of committal and interment will occur Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 11:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 8200 Old Brownsville Road., Corpus Christi, TX 78415.
