Isla Fay Marion, 98, passed peacefully on September 13, 2022, with family by her side. Born in Paducah, Texas on November 13, 1923 to Clarence and Jewel Roberts, she was the last surviving sibling of 8 children. She was a devoted wife of 62 years, to JD Marion (who preceded her in death) and caring mother of four children. She resided in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Isla Fay was blessed with a loving personality and generous spirit and enjoyed life with her family and friends. She was always there to help, opening her home, preparing a meal and lending a helping hand. She was a strong woman, had courage, gumption and beat cancer! She loved the Lord and served Him as a member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene in Corpus Christi, Texas for many years.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life…church fellowship, good food (including midnight snacks!), reading and working crossword puzzles, watching old movies, sitcoms (Golden Girls), Wheel of Fortune and golf tournaments (yes really!) on television. In her younger years she enjoyed her pets, dominos, dancing and traveling, but most of all, she enjoyed being with family.
To continue in her love, Isla Fay leaves four children, Dennis Marion (Pam), Linda Samperi (Joe), David Marion (Doris), Deborah Bradley (Ernest), 20 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren, 37 great-great grandchildren and many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 8:30 AM with services beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery following services.
