

James served in the United States Navy for 24 years and received accommodation medals, N&MC Achievement Medal (4)/Joint Meritorious Unit Award/Meritorious Unit Commendation (2)/Navy “E” Ribbon (4)/Good Conduct Medal (5)/SW Asia SVC Metal/Sea SVC Deployment Ribbon (3)/MM Rifle Ribbon/Master Training Specialist Insignia. He was a dedicated workaholic to his job with Forces Surveillance Support Center for many years. He was loved by many and will be remembered for his adventurous spirit and his generosity to do anything for anyone. James had a big heart and will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Hardiman; brother, William Jon Hardiman; grandparents, Carlton and Viola Haskey; and former mother-in-law, Cecilia Trevino.
James is survived by his daughter, Amber Hardiman; sons, Chad Queen and Iran (April) Castaneda; grandchildren, Dylan and Luke James Castaneda; sibling, Charles Hardiman; close friends, David Andrew Ralston, Isaiah (Patricia) Lard, Dee Mitchell, Bob and JoAnn Hand and a host of other co-workers and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Funeral Service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Services will conclude in the chapel.
